Connected to the word “malapad,” meaning flat, Magsapad Rock Formation’s base exhibits this trait. A resting place for Berbinota, it houses a natural sculpture resembling an elephant’s trunk. Nature’s artistry abounds in captivating walls of sedimentary rock.


MAGASANG

Magasang Rock Formation, originating from the Bicolano term “Gasang” for corals, was once a thriving coral-filled expanse. Though few remain today, tales of its vibrant past endure. Seek out the lion’s head, a covered walkway, and a Bulusan Mount viewpoint for a unique adventure amidst this captivating landscape.

Connected to the word “malapad,” meaning flat, Magsapad Rock Formation’s base exhibits this trait. A resting place for Berbinota, it houses a natural sculpture resembling an elephant’s trunk. Nature’s artistry abounds in captivating walls of sedimentary rock.


BEL-AT

Named after “bell,” Bet-at Rock Formation was linked to an enigmatic bell-like echo. Islanders, even WWII Americans, associated this sound with impending bad weather. A vertical orifice on-site might’ve caused the phenomenon, amplifying winds. Though uncertain of its existence, it’s a captivating piece of local lore.
