The festival started with a parade street dancing from the Sacred Heart Plaza to the main streets of the town until every participant gathered at the Municipal Auditorium where the contest was held. Connected to the word “malapad,” meaning flat, Magsapad Rock Formation’s base exhibits this trait. A resting place for Berbinota, it houses a natural sculpture resembling an elephant’s trunk. Nature’s artistry abounds in captivating walls of sedimentary rock.
Magasang Rock Formation, originating from the Bicolano term “Gasang” for corals, was once a thriving coral-filled expanse. Though few remain today, tales of its vibrant past endure. Seek out the lion’s head, a covered walkway, and a Bulusan Mount viewpoint for a unique adventure amidst this captivating landscape.

Named after “bell,” Bet-at Rock Formation was linked to an enigmatic bell-like echo. Islanders, even WWII Americans, associated this sound with impending bad weather.
