Lope de Vega, Northern Samar is a landlocked municipality boasting majestic mountains, lush coconut and abaca plantations, and a stunning array of cascading waterfalls. Though it lacks white sand beaches, it is a paradise for eco-adventurers featuring scenic treasures such as the threetiered Salawad Falls in Barangay Osmeña, Bayho's Dizo Falls, Gasdo Falls of Lower Caynaga, San Jose's Caimaga Falls, and the enchanting Sea of Mist in Barangay Roxas. Beyond its natural wonders, Lope de Vega thrives through the industriousness of its people, highlighted by awardwinning participation in the Ibabao Festival with its lively Lobika Festival, dance troupes, and creative float displays that showcase their coconut and abaca heritage. The town's sustainable livelihood is driven by groups like SAMAKABA (an all-women association founded in 2005) known for their organic Taro Chips, ginger turmeric, papaya pickles, and peanut butter, as well as local culinary staples like Sinarungsong – a delicacy steamed in bamboo tubes or bagacay, best sampled at Baby Ruth's Kitchen in Barangay Magsaysay.
