San Isidro
San Isidro, Northern Samar is a 25,600-hectare municipality spanning 14 barangays with a population of 27,867. Proudly staking its claim as the Waterfalls Capital of Northern Samar, the town features spectacular cascades such as the 30-meter Veriato Falls in Barangay Veriato (located just 100 meters off the national highway), the stair-like Busay Falls in Barangay Seven Hills, the fan-shaped Kangpongkol Falls in Barangay Happy Valley, and the secluded Igot Falls (known locally as "Crystal Water") in Barangay Palanit. Beyond its natural freshwater retreats, San Isidro boasts island escapes like Isla Canawayon off Barangay San Juan for overnight camping and swimming, the coastal Sohoton Cave and Cliff in Barangay Palanit, and agri-tourism hubs like “A Farm House” in Barangay Happy Valley, which cultivates everything from pineapples and dragonfruit to strawberries.
