The festival started with a parade street dancing from the Sacred Heart Plaza to the main streets of the town until every participant gathered at the Municipal Auditorium where the contest was held. Painted revelers danced the rhythmic steps of the Tarapo. in tempo with the infectious beating of drums and gogns and blowing of whistle.

Connected to the word “malapad,” meaning flat, Magsapad Rock Formation’s base exhibits this trait. A resting place for Berbinota, it houses a natural sculpture resembling an elephant’s trunk. Nature’s artistry abounds in captivating walls of sedimentary rock.
